Home security is probably something every homeowner has thought of at some point...but how many of us do something about it?! I know I probably don't do enough. How about you?? That's why I was happy to come across several great police security tips that can help me remember the things I can do to help keep my home and my family safe. It never hurts to learn more ways. Ours safety is of the utmost importance! There are the obvious ones like keeping the doors locked at night and when you're away from home, keeping grills and lawnmowers in a locked garage or shed, and never leaving a message on your answering machine that indicates you're away from home that I've thought of before.

However, there are some that I never really thought of when I came across the Fort Worth, PD list of security tips. Those like looking to see if your shrubs are trimmed to help prohibit the concealment of an intruder and is the door leading into the house from the garage as secure as those on the outside. I thought these were great and really got me thinking! It's so important we do everything we can to make sure our home, and ourselves, are safe!
