We used to be able to print from our laptop wirelessly but ever since we bought a new printer it seems that we just couldn't make it work. Until now that is. Bill had searched the internet looking for information on how to make a wireless connection to our printer. Most sites indicated that you need to buy a print server, whatever that is. Bill started messing with the computer last night and somehow got it working. Yeah. It will be handy. He printed a color picture of Kaelyn and Emry which turned out great. As soon as he printed though, the computer gave me a message that we are now low on ink. Oh well, it is worth it.

Babies

New Clubs

Bill got some new golf clubs for Christmas and has been downstairs looking at them often. Golfing is one of his favorite hobbies in the summer. He doesn't get to golf as much as he would like. Sleeping Baby

The other day we had Kaelyn at our house. In the afternoon she was taking a nap as I held her. It was great to watch her sleeping. She was so calm and peaceful.
She has grown a lot and soon she will be crawling around the house. That stage will be fun too. It brings back wonderful memories of when our kids were little.

Too Much Snow

It is my opinion that we have too much snow. Bill has been able to shovel it so far this winter but I hope we are about done with the snow and cold. I miss the green grass and warm sunshine. Bill is the one that mows the yard. I know he is ready to be out in the yard and is tired of the cold too.

Small Heater

We have used a small heater in our addition. It takes quite a lot of energy but there are times when it is nice to warm the room up a bit. I have seen some heaters that would probably work better but they take up more space too. We have been interested in a gas fireplace but haven't found the right one yet.

Weather

WOW! We sure had a nasty blizzard yesterday. People were out and stranded everywhere. It didn't really snow that hard, but the visibility was so poor that you couldn't see to drive. There were many cars in the ditches and quite a few accidents. I would rather be at home at a time like that.

Change In Temps

There has really been a big change in temperature the past couple days. We went from around forty degrees above zero to well below with high wind. My hope is that winter is about over and we can get on to warmer weather. A friend of mine told me recently that he wanted to go snowmobiling but that isn't something that sounds very fun to me. I just don't enjoy being cold.

DVR

We don't get a lot of use from our DVR but there are times when it is very handy. We can record more than one program at a time and watch the shows at our leisure. Bad Roads

Yesterday we had terrible weather and the roads in the area were very bad. There were still vehicles in the ditches yet this morning. Most of the roads had been cleared but a few were still not totally without snow and ice. The temperatures were quite low but fortunately the wind wasn't so strong today.

American Idol Again

We watched the show American Idol last year and really enjoyed it. Towards the beginning of the season it tends to make for lots of laughs because of those that think they can sing but really can't. The show has started again and here we are watching a new season.

Big Screen

We just got our new computer and it has a huge monitor. We paid a little extra for the system because of the monitor. Our old one was a 17" and this one is 22". What a difference!! It is so easy to see. It is a wide screen and takes up most of the desk. I think we are going to like it a lot.

Beautiful Weather

It has been horribly bitter cold here for several weeks. You can tell that it is draining on people. They are down and depressed. Today we had a gorgeous day out there. It must have been 40 degrees or better. The sun was shinning and it actually felt warm. Our dog Zoe even enjoyed sitting out on the deck for a while. Thank you Lord for a beautiful day!

Platform Beds

For years we were in the market for a new bed. The old bed was 20 plus years old and had gone soft. We were unsure of the type of bed we would want to purchase. I have always thought that the platform beds were unique and fun. There are so many choices out there today. It sometimes makes it difficult to choose, but I enjoy looking.

If you ask my husband he will tell you that one of my favorite things to receive in life is jewelry. All kinds of jewelry. Flying

Flying isn't one of my favorite things to do. It just seems to take so much thought and energy to pack. I would much rather just load up the car with what ever I want to take and take off down the road towards my destination. So much less stress for me.

Home theater's are becoming quite popular these days. People are actually including a special room in their homes when building. I think it's a pretty neat idea. We are presently struggling to find out the reason that our desk top computer has begun to slow down. I don't understand a lot about computers, but my husband is pretty good with them. I just received a wonderful picture today in my email. It is of an American soldier holding a small child who had apparently lost her family due to the enemy. It is very touching and one that I am sure will be sent all over the world through email. I know there are many more like this that would be great for people to see. I would imagine that this soldier would prefer being at home with his own family but it is very cool to see the act of kindness shown to this little child.

Baby Pictures

We have been having so much fun taking pictures of our new grand babies. With the digital cameras it is great because you can see just what quality of picture you are getting without having to wait for the developing process. It is amazing how many pictures can be taken in a short time. It is not uncommon to have close to two hundred pictures on the memory card when I get ready to put them on a disk or order prints.

What do you think about the media as far as sharing information to the public? It is my opinion that some things just don't need to be brought out in the open. For example, some of the gruesome details of terrible criminal acts just don't need to be shared. I think that there are times when people actually get ideas about doing certain acts from what they see and hear in the media. Scraping

I don't enjoy scraping snow and ice from my windows. I have a long handled scraper in the car and it does get used at times. I usually just start the car and let it run for a little while. That generally takes care of the snow and ice. I know that I waste gas by doing that but I think it is worth it.

4X4

Do you have a four wheel drive car or truck? We just bought a used 4X4 and I love it. Waiting Game

We are anxiously waiting for our new computer to arrive. I don't want to say that I am overly anxious but I do look forward to having the new one. What Is It?

When I get home from work I usually ask what we are having for supper. Bill gets home before I do and generally starts to prepare the meal. End Of The Season

As most of us know the football season is just about over. We don't watch much football in our house but once in awhile a game is on one of our televisions. New Computer

It is about time for us to buy a new home computer. In fact, we ordered one from an internet site last night. We are excited to have a new one. Our current computer is about seven years old and although it works fairly well, the new one will be better. It will be much faster and the monitor is larger. Great Weekend!

We had a very nice weekend! We decided that we were going to go up and see our daughter, her husband and baby Kaelyn. We had such a nice time. Kaelyn is just over 2 months old now and is changing so quickly. She is now starting to grasp at toys, necklaces and what ever else she can get a hold of. She follows you and like to try to copy what you are doing (if you make noises with your tongue etc..). It so fun to watch her enjoying her own voice. They are so sweet and innocent. We're counting down the days until we can see our little grand baby, Emry also.

Sunshine

Even though it was quite cold again today it didn't seem as bad because we didn't have windy conditions and the sun was shining. It was so nice to see the sun. As soon as we got up this morning it was very bright out. I think it helps to form a positive attitude when it is bright out.

Treadmills

I have never been one that has taken the time or enjoyed exercising. Now with all of the new and improved machines out there, like the treadmills and elliptical machines, it has been made easier for me. Another Good One

Last night I got home from work and Bill had made us another good supper. I had set some of the ingredients on the counter as a little hint and he took it. We had chicken and stuffing. Tired Pooch

As I am writing this there is a very tired pooch next to me. Her name is Zoe and she acts like she has had a tiring day. I don't always know what she has been up to during the day that makes her so tired. Right now she is snoring terribly. Weekend

Boy, the weekend flew by. We were very busy starting to pack for an upcoming trip we'll be taking. Pretty Snow

We had just a little bit of snow yesterday. It is what I would call a pretty snow. I must tell you that I really don't enjoy winter or snow but I have to admit that it was fun to watch. The small flakes turned into large ones and they just floated down to the ground.

It would be nice to have a night just to sit and watch television. Most of the time, however, we have so many things to do at night that we don't get to sit down until late. Family

It was so nice to have our whole family home for Christmas. Spending time with our kids is very important to us and we always enjoy our time together. Smart Dog

Our dog Zoe sometimes seems very smart. She just came in from outside and she knows that she needs to stop at the doorway and get her feet wiped off. Fun Weekend!

We had all of our children home with us again this weekend! What a great time we had. Friday we got together with Bill's side for a late Christmas supper. It was good to see everyone. Many of them had not met the newest family members, Emry and Kaelyn. When we got back home we all played games and watched movies together. It takes a little bit longer now with the little babies in the picture. :) Everyone had to head home today and the house is sure quiet. Zoe's not sure what to think about it all, but she's sure tired.

Heat Wave

By this weekend they are talking like it could be in the 40's. Wow, that is a heat wave for January. Maybe we will have a January thaw. I wouldn't mind at all if we did. We really have had a good winter so far but I am ready for spring. I feel sorry for those that have had such a troublesome time with power outages etc. and wouldn't wish bad weather on anyone. I am glad for our good weather though.
