Golf Season

I know my husband doesn't want to admit it but his golf season is over for the year. That is, unless he travels to a warm state to get in some play. It is a game that he really loves. He has been golfing since he was a little boy. Starting the game playing right handed he soon switched to lefty. I don't mind playing but he is extreme. The most he has played in one day is 81 holes. For a time that is all he talked about.

I have been collecting Christmas ideas for my children. Our daughter is looking at an ereader. She has always been our reader. She enjoys a good book. Now technology is such that it is easier then ever to carry that book with you. Finding a book is quick also. What a great way to take a variety of books along with you to read on the go. What a Blessing!

Oh what a blessing! Our 5th grandchild was born on Sunday. His name is Caysen Reed Gaskill! He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. He looks somewhat like his brother Kaden. What a sweetie.... :) We are blessed.... We are both trying to do all we can to help them out at home with the older children. When you have a c-section, you have to be especially careful and cannot do many things. So it is a blessing to us to be able to help them out in any way we can.

New Baby Boy

This is our new baby grandson. This makes 5 grandchildren for us in the last 4 years. We love being grandparents. They are so much fun. This little one has a sister 4 years old and a brother who will be 2 tomorrow. They are so excited to have their little brother at home. I think he will probably get to come home tomorrow. That will be great to have them home before Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for.

New Grandbaby

We are really getting very excited about our 5th grandbaby that is on the way. He or she will be born next Tuesday and we are counting down the days. Turkey Trot

Last year, I started somewhat of a Thanksgiving tradition; at least I would like for it to become one. Most cities host a Thanksgiving Day road race that varies in distance. My city’s is called the Turkey Trot and it is an 8k, which is about 5 miles. I found out about the race through an email I received while I was checking out expertsatellite.com. This all started last year because it made me feel better about eating all of that good food if I woke up and ran first. Since it’s much easier to run with a group of people, this was the perfect solution. An added bonus is that it decreased the time I had to spend at my boyfriend’s mother’s house for Thanksgiving. I guess I started this tradition with my friend Erin, who ran it with me last year and is doing the same this year. She doesn’t have to travel for Thanksgiving, so it’s a no brainer for her. I wasn’t sure if my mom would go for me arriving midday, but surprisingly she did.

Days Off

Watching the Grandkids

Our daughter had a doctor's appointment so I went over and stayed with the grandchildren. They are so full of energy and a real challenge to keep up with.
