Graduation Cards
There are so many creative ways to express an important event in one's life. Cards can be one way. They have definitely improved over the years. I recently had a company send me examples of some of their graduation cards, thank you, and save the date cards. WOW! I was quite impressed. There can be such a broad selection in style and in quality. These cards were made from a thicker stock and appeared to be of a superior quality. There are times I have purchased cards only to find out that they were quite thin and cheaply made. On these the images were sharp and crisp. I only wish I would have known about them in the past when I had children graduating and getting married. I've received a "save the date" card before. What a neat idea. You can then put it on your calendar and plan around it way ahead of time. The Pear Tree site seems user friendly and has a lot to offer. You will find cards covering many of the holidays, parties, babies and even business. In the future by ordering from Pear Tree I can get the quality cards that I am looking for and others deserve to receive.

Visitation
We recently went to a visitation for the mother of a friend of mine. When we lived next to them years ago, she and her husband were so welcoming to us. Most Sunday evenings we were invited to their home for supper. There was never a time when we didn't feel welcomed by them. Such nice people. They will be missed by many.

Banking Jobs
Well after watching the news over the past few days it is sounding like there are still many people without jobs. My brother recently was job searching and officially accepted a new position today. There are some banking jobs out there, but many still looking. It will be nice to see the unemployment rate dropping.

Asian Buffet
Without giving the name of the place I would like to say that we had an amazing lunch at an Asian buffet recently. It is reasonably priced and excellent food. You go through and pick out the meat, veggies, noodles and sauce that you want and then take it to a counter where it is prepared for you while you wait. I did forget to mention that you are only supposed to take one bowl for each time you go through the line. However, I always take two!!

YMCA
We have a YMCA in our town and it gets lots of use. I haven't gone there for quite some time but my husband goes at least five times a week. It opened in 1986 and has expanded some to include a larger nautilus room and family locker area. I am glad we have it close by. I use to walk on the track and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I have my own elliptical machine at home so I tend to use that rather than going to the Y.

Home to Pennsylvania
Guest post from: Kent Lara
We set the home security alarm (click here) last night, locked the back door, and took off for our annual holiday trip home to Pennsylvania. The traffic into the airport wasn't too bad. Actually it was surprising how light the traffic was, but I guess a lot of people wait until the last minute to travel. I'm grateful that we can take off when we want to, and that we can spend so much time with our distant loved ones.
Of course, after we got to the airport, the traffic inside the terminal wasn't quite as light as it was outside. We arrived about ninety minutes before our flight was due to take off, and we used almost all of that time in getting through security. But that's all right. It's the thing that must be done these days to make sure that everyone can travel safely, and I appreciate all the people who work so hard to keep us safe. We all managed to pass through the area without having to go through that newfangled scanner that so many people complain about. None of us got the dreaded pat-down either. It was just a matter of waiting patiently in such a large crowd.
Now we're home for the holidays and ready to relax before we have to make the return trip. Happy holidays, everyone!

Newest iPod Touch
My husband received the newest iPod Touch for a Christmas gift. He had a previous model and actually sold it because he knew he was getting the new one. He really likes it. It has a front and rear camera and some other cool features that the other one didn't have. I see him playing with it on a daily basis. Thanks kids.
L-dopa
Have you ever heard of l-dopa? Do you have any idea what it is? It is an amino acid that converts into dopamine. I really don't know enough about it to share exactly what that means but I know it is important to our body and brain health. It would probably be best if you were to read about yourself rather than have me try to explain it. I would suggest you do just that.
Best Anti Aging Product
Many people use products to help them stay young looking. What is the best anti aging product? You can find out quite a lot about these products by searching the internet. If you know some people that use the products you could ask them but some may not want to confide in you as to what they are using. I think that most people want to look their best and sometimes the help from some of these products can help.
Car Insurance
According to our state law we need car insurance if we are going to drive a vehicle on the roadway. I think that is a good law personally. For those that don't have insurance they can be fined huge amounts if they get caught or have an accident. Obey the law and make sure you are insured.

Aren't Grandkids Wonderful?!
htc desire android
My youngest son is so into technology. He has to have the latest computer, cell phone etc... He is so smart when it comes to all of that stuff. I can't begin to know how his brain works. He loves checking out the latest phones such as the htc desire android and others. If I have any questions I just ask him.
Good Eats
Watching some of the food shows makes me want to try some of the recipes that are shown. We enjoy watching the shows where someone tries some little place that I have never heard of. The food looks amazing. On Man Vs Food, Adam tries to eat some huge portion of great looking food but by the time he is done I am sure he wants to curl up somewhere and not eat for quite some time. I don't want to eat that much, I just want to try the food.

Meineke Car Care Bowl Game
The Author of this post is Rory Reilly
In just a few short weeks I will have packed my car, set the house alarm from Home security Systems, handed the kids off to their grandparents and grabbed my wife for a nice trip down to Charlotte North Carolina for the Meineke Car Care Bow game between Clemson University and the University of South Florida. This should be a classic match up between two solid defenses who have performed routinely as some of the best in the country.
Da'Quan Bowers was selected as the best defensive player in the country. He has led Clemson's defense in stopping their last 7 opponents to one touchdown or less. He will be a force to be reckoned with as he wreaks havoc on South Florida's offensive line. It should come as no surprise that he leads the nation in sacks per game and tackles for a loss. Bowers should disrupt South Florida's offense enough to stop them from putting very many points on the board.
Kyle Parker should be able to muster up a few points for the Clemson offense. He has been inconsistent at best this season but he should be able to connect with a few of his receivers for a few scores. South Florida has a very good defense as well though so it will not be a cake walk. My wife and I should be in for an awesome football game!

Are you on facebook? If not, you may be one of the few that hasn't gotten started yet. Young and old are actively posting and chatting on the social networking site. Friends who were never friends are busy sharing their lives on the computer. The young man that started facebook is now said to be worth several billion dollars. Wow, not bad.
Invest in gold coins
My husband's father always enjoyed collecting gold and silver coins. He felt that it was a safe way to invest. I think after watching our economy over the past couple of years, he had something there. With the United States Gold Bureau you can invest in gold coins, silver and other precious metals. They can assist you in a safe and immediate delivery to the depository or bank of your choosing. Silver and cold can be purchased in an ingot from. It is a pure bullion cast made into a convenient size and shape for storage. It may just be the time to invest in precious metals. Click in and browse for yourself.

New Years!
My Time Knitting
Guest post of the week by Bradley Guthrie
After years of wanting to try I finally decided to learn to knit. I can recall many different moments in my life were I watched people knitting and truly longed to be able to knit as well. My grandmother used to knit everyone in my family a scarf for Christmas. After moving to the city as an adult I have always used public transportation. It seems that there is inevitably someone knitting on the bus or on the train. But I had no one in my daily life that knew this skill. I was forced to learn on my own.
After a dizzying number of failed hours with knitting books I went scouring the internet. To my surprise there were an amazing amount of knitting resources on the internet. I was able to watch instructional videos which made the whole process make a lot more sense. Before I knew it I was knitting and purling like a professional. It was almost two years ago that I really got the hang of this craft and I have not been able to put down my needles since.
I love knitting because I can easily take the needles and yarn with me. Time that used to feel wasted is now so productive. I enjoy knitting on the train, at the park and even while watching my Dish TV.
