Cell Phone Battery

I recently got a new cell phone and am loving it.  My old one didn't have nearly the storage as this new one.  My husband will be due for one in a few months.  His phone seems to discharge quickly so I presume it is because of the battery.  I wonder if the companies that make the phones make sure that they don't last too long and therefore cause people to buy new ones.  Anyway, I love my new phone!
