Grand kids

For those of you who don't have grand kids, they are wonderful. For those of you who do have grand kids, you know they are wonderful. We love ours very much. They are such a joy to be around. They are so innocent and sweet. It makes me feel so good when they come up and give hugs and tell me how much they love me. They are awesome.

WOW! Do you remember when making bead bracelets and necklaces where the rave? When my daughter was young she loved to do that. The beads were colorful and simple. Now there are many choices out there. The Swarovski Crystal beads, toho beads, pearls, stones cut into shapes and much more. It's fun to create your own masterpiece!

Zuo

Over the past three years we have been trying to redo and update our home. Room by room we have changed out lighting,hardware,flooring,painted and furnishings. It's been fun! We have looked into modern furniture such as Zuo and other companies. The choices out there are amazing!

DVR

I have wondered what I'd do without my DVR. It is so handy to have. I love being able to zip through commercials and focus on my shows. There have been a few times when the DVR wasn't working properly and I about freaked out. I have grown accustomed to having it and don't want to be without. If you don't have one, get one. I don't think you will regret it.

Personalized baseball bats

My oldest son is so into sports. He has been since he was quite young. I recently saw personalized baseball bats. He would have loved a gift like that! How great! You could have the team put on there or even a year and championship. Forever you can have this keepsake to remind you of wonderful times.

HTC accessories

My youngest son and son-in-law are very much into technology. They both worked for cell phone companies at one time. They love to look into the latest HTC accessories and anything else that may come along with a cell phone. They are usually trying to talk me into purchasing something new and different.

Blackberry

I recently bought a Blackberry phone. It took a little while to get used to it but I now enjoy it. There are times when I miss my old phone but all in all I like my Blackberry. The keys are a bit small but even those I have gotten used to. There are so many more functions with cell phones today. Our first one was a flip type phone and we had 30 minutes for the month. It cost $19.95 per month. Can you believe it? Needless to say, we only used it when necessary.

Yard Work

I know it is early in the year but we want to get out and do some yard work. You know, raking and putting down some weed killer. Not that I enjoy raking but it is something that should be done. When finished the yard looks great. I love the fresh cut lawn look. It won't be long and the snow will be gone and we can get out in the yard.

Book Reading

I know there are many people that enjoy reading books. More and more are reading online or ebooks. The ebooks are nice because they don't take up much room. They are very handy little things. We have lots of paperback and hard bound books at home but having the ebooks is great.

New Ipad

Are the new iPads much different from the first version? I heard they are faster and the do have two cameras but are they worth buying if you already have the previous model? That is what my husband is wondering. He has the original iPad and likes it a lot but wouldn't mind having the new one. I know that it is very difficult to keep up with the latest technology because you can be sure that another version will come out fairly soon.

Easter Came Early

Easter came early for our grandchildren. They didn't mind. :)

Humidifiers

With living where we do and having a basement, we have found that humidifiers are a must. They help to keep our downstairs dry. There is no longer a musty smell or a feeling of moisture in the air. They are a lifesaver. We have only ever had to purchase two throughout our thirty years in this home. They tend to last and last. What a wise investment.

New Car

It may seem weird but we have never owned a brand new car. We have had several great used vehicles but not one new one. Over the past few years we have been redoing our home. With that has come many changes from modern furniture to wall color. It has been fun to watch the transformation. We are pleased with the outcome. It feels warm and homey. I love the earth tones. The tans, sage green and brick red all compliment each other. The newer styles of light fixtures are fun too!

School Backpack

Well, the school year is soon coming to an end once again. Boy, do they speed by. In the fall comes new clothes, supplies and a school backpack of course. By now most of those items are looking pretty shot. I remember my children loving the beginning of the school year. It was always great to get new things.

Whether you are starting up a new business or presently are running a business, you know the details involved in keeping it going. When our office first opened we had many decisions to make. What kind of small business phone system should we purchase? That was only one of our concerns. It would have to accommodate many different areas. Also, would have to talk on one line while not interrupting another. There we several concerns. A person doesn't really think about it until you are in the midst of those decisions.

American Idol

Many people are watching the American Idol show. We have been too but last night our DVR didn't record it. We happened to turn on the television just as the show was ending. It was kind of a bummer. We have our favorites just like others do. It does seem like this year there are more great singers than in past years. You just never know who will take the gold!!

Have you seen the new cake pops and Brownie Pops? They are so cute and what a unique idea. I have seen them in many different looks. A person can use them for a party or maybe a family get-together. I've heard that they are quite tasty as well. They would be fun at a party.

Split heart keychain

Do you have a special occasion coming and you're not sure what to buy? I am always looking for great new ideas. I saw a neat split heart keychain. Something a person can share with a loved one. What a neat idea. It was reasonable and attractive. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Chocolate gift basket

When you have that special occasion or reason for a neat gift, sweets are always a great thing. I think there are such neat gift ideas out there these days. A person can purchase a beautiful chocolate gift basket and surprise that someone special. It's a unique and wonderful creation. Mother's Day is just around the corner.

Toy Box

Kids find the funnest places to play. Our grandson Israel loves to climb into things. He found a big basket and began playing. Oh how sweet.....

Blackheads on nose

There are all kinds of skin issues that people face. Over that past few years I have begun to see a Dermatologist. It's amazing what they can see. I did have a basil cell type skin condition. That is nothing to mess around with. He can also find blackheads on nose, cheek and other areas. Those are pretty innocent thank goodness.

Creatine Supplements

My nephews are enjoying some body building. I'm not sure if they are taking creatine supplements or not. I know that can assist with energy, endurance and muscle mass. They definitely are looking great! As long as one does it in a healthy way and seeks a doctors assistance in doing so.

Grandsons

Is this not about the sweetest! I love them! This is two of my grandsons, Emry and Israel. They are so good together.

I love the fact that a person can now do their own research and find what is best for them individually. It's very important to take care of one's skin. I'm finding that out as I am aging.

While raising three children we found them to each be quite different. They had their own interests, skills and abilities. They also each had their own health issues. Over the adolescent years we were faced with some acne problems, but luckily nothing to serious. I know there are those individuals that are in need of adult acne treatments. My son Jake loves loves loves technology. He can't seem to get enough of it. He is always creating and working on some type of project. He enjoys browsing sites that have télés and other types of the newest technical advancements. He will purchase something and own it for just a matter of months and then buy the next newest thing. It's definitely his thing.

Jamaica

Recently our daughter and her husband traveled to Jamaica! What fun for them. We also had a lot of fun while they were gone. We got to take care of Kaelyn and Kaden, their children. :) What a blessing. It was such a fun week! We would do it all over again. I'm glad the kids could get away and relax also.

Coins

My husbands father was quite fascinated with coins of all kinds. He collects them as a hobby and a wise investment. With gold prices as high as they are now, I think he was a very smart man. They can be a great nest egg for the future. Some collect them for a rainy day or a day of need. What ever the reason I think it's a wise move.

Breeches

My oldest son and his family recently purchased and moved onto an acreage. The area that they are living are big on horses. My daughter-in-law would love to have a pony of their own. There are many things that need to be purchased in owning such an animal. There's a place called breeches that a person can seek out some of the equipment needed. Horses are so beautiful.
