Swim lessons begin!  My husband went with to watch the grandkids.  Sounds like they both did an awesome job.  They were brave and excited.  I'm glad they both did so well.

Stackable Church Chairs

For many years we have attended the same church.  We have grown and become close to many of the people there.  The church has really expanded since we have been there.  We now have a huge family center where our services are held.  Each Sunday after the service they announce "stack 7"  They are asking each one of us to put the stackable church chairs in groups of 7.  It's a quick way to put away the chairs.  They are handy comfortable chairs.

We recently moved into our new home.  While it was being build we learned a lot about all it takes to build a house.  There are so many different types of materials.
One that I wasn't aware of was the ICF (insulated concrete forms).  What a neat creation.  These interlocking wall forms are insulated and can be a fire protector.   Their make up is concrete and reinforcing steel.  There are two types to choose from.  The thermal is insulated and moisture resistant.  The other is the standard which also has a level of insulation.  Both can be used in residential, industrial, agricultural, commercial and institutional properties.
It's worth looking into if you are dealing in construction.  See for yourself.

One of the most beautiful times of the year is autumn. After a warm summer, the days get cooler and there are beautifully colored leaves everywhere. It is a time to enjoy life to its fullest with the knowledge that the end of the year is approaching and it is time to relax.

Adding to the enjoyment of this time of the year are state fairs that appear everywhere. Walking down the midway, going on the different types of rides, and eating roasted corn and other types of food is something that brings back the memories of childhood. State fairs have their own unique exhibits as well as entertainment.

Among the many exhibits one will find sections devoted to sewing, artwork, children\'s projects, baked goods, and other individual presentations. It is a pleasure to walk through the exhibition halls and view the vast array of colors and skills shown by the different participants.

Presentations that are especially exciting to explore are the excellent entries in the baking contests. Walking along the aisles and seeing the many different baked goods provides many homemakers with ideas they can adapt to their personal baking skills.

Among the displays, one will find a wide assortment of cakes, cookies, pies, and other baked goods. These are always beautifully prepared and delicious looking. In many state fair contests, these sections are sponsored by companies, such as C&H Sugar that become owners of the winner\'s recipes.

A typed recipe must accompany each entry, which is limited to one per person. These recipes must mention any special ingredients or equipment required to produce the results. This would include such things as chocolate molds, specifically shaped pans, uncommon seasonings, unusual baking requirements, and so forth.

There is no doubt that a state fair has become an ingrained tradition in America. It is an event that everyone can enjoy and is a beautiful way to end the summer.
