Green Stuff

Bill was out in the yard and we can finally see that green stuff, the grass. That is very exciting after the long winter we've had. Once it dries out we can get the yard looking good again. I don't do the mowing but I agree with most people around here that mowing is better than shoveling.

Spiders

Ya know, I am so ready for warmer weather, but with that comes those icky creepy things. I, for one, am not a fan of seeing spiders in my house. Last night Bill and I were sitting in the addition and all of a sudden I noticed a fairly large spider near the arm of the couch. I jumped off the couch and asked Bill to trade me places. I felt much better although there could have been a spider on the other couch too. But at least I didn't see one.

Apple ipods

Our youngest son is quite the techy guy. He loves and enjoys everything about technology. Recently he began creating games for Apple. The games can be bought through apple ipods I believe. It was after he purchased his ipod, that he began to do this. He is always looking for the newest technology. I don't think he keeps a phone longer then six months. That's OK I guess as long as he's enjoying himself!

Safety Glasses

Many years ago I worked in a plant. We found to protect ourselves that we needed to wear safety glasses. Well that is not the only place that safety glasses can come in handy. My husband has used them shooting. We use them in the dental office to protect ourselves from splatter. And there are many other uses for this handy gear. They are so worth having.

Israel Michael

Our sweet little grandson. Israel is such a good little guy for his mommy and daddy. He was born Dec. 2009 and I can't believe he's already 3 months old. Time sure does fly.

Eye Wrinkle Cream

As I hit my mid thirties I found some unexpected surprises. One day I looked into the mirror and thought, what is that chicken skin under my eyes? I hadn't noticed that before. Yes, it happens to all of us. Aging is a natural process, but of course we like to find ways to slow it down like using eye wrinkle cream or cold packs. Well, that's OK. It's great to be getting older!

New Boss

As of next week Bill will have a new boss. His current supervisor is actually retiring tomorrow and is very excited about it. Bill has gotten along with him very well and I am sure he will with the new one too. Sometimes change can be a good thing. Bill doesn't expect a drastic change with the new supervisor. When things go smoothly typically the boss is happy. Just like at home. Like they say, happy wife happy life.

MSM Lotion

Have you ever started to have a new ache and wondered what it was? I have. As I am growing older I wonder if it could be arthritis. There are a variety of different products on the market today. Some have tried the msm lotion and are thinking that it may even help prevent arthritis flare ups. It's all interesting to me.

I think just about everyone of us knows someone that deals with IBS or some type of intestinal problems. It can affect these individuals lives. Landscape Lights

Now that the snow is disappearing we can finally see our landscape lights again. They are leaning a bit but it is so nice to know they are there. Bill will have to make sure they are working and clean them up but I can hardly wait to have them on again. We had too much snow this winter and I am excited for Spring.

Arthritis Pain Treatment

As I grow older I find myself dealing with new and different issues. I have had some recent joint pain that I am told could be arthritis. I have tried an arthritis pain treatment and am always looking for new and improved methods. Some days it flares up and other days I don't even know it's there.

A few years back I was dealing with some hair loss. It became a big concern for me. I was going through a stressful time in my life and thought that could be the cause. Resumes

After being employed with the same practice for over twenty years, I can't imagine what it might be like to find myself jobless and looking for employment. My three children are now grown and with in the past few years had graduated from college with their degrees. It was a blessing that they sent out their resumes and all had found jobs within a short time. They found that sometimes you have to get your foot in the door and then work your way to where you really want to be. We are pleased that they are all doing well.

Employment Screening

I have worked in the same practice for over 20 years. While there I have seen a turn over in staff. Going through an employment screening and hiring process can be stressful. It's important for the entire staff to choose those perfect individuals for the available positions. Over the years we have had a pretty great team of people to work with. That's not easy to find.

The Arch

My husband and I recently cruised to the Mexican Riviera. While in Cabo San Lucas we took a glass bottom boat ride and saw the famous "Arch". It was beautiful! Cabo was our favorite port.

New Furniture

As I mentioned, our basement is the next thing on our 'to do' list! We are going to be repainting in a warmer color and I can't wait! I hate to say it, but I may also be looking at new furniture. Right now we have an older couch and rocking chair down there. Although it's not a room we use much, I would still like a couple of modern sofas. If not that, then maybe one big wrap around one that the grandkids could enjoy. Hopefully we'll find something...once it's painted and all put together it will really look nice. I'll have to post some pics soon.
