Better Weather

The past few days have been great. Finally, no snow or cold. It is a bit cool today but not bad at all. It rained slightly yesterday, but I think we could use the moisture right now. I enjoy this time of year. We sometimes wonder why we live where we do but this kind of weather is a good reminder.

Colonix

We are all becoming more health conscious. With so much sickness and disease it is important to find ways to stay healthy. Roast

We put a roast in the crock pot this morning. There are carrots, potatoes,water and some onion soup in with the meat. We will have some blueberry muffins too. It sounds and smells very good. The plan is to eat about 4pm. We stopped for a sandwich after church, but it really didn't hit the spot. The roast will be much better than what we had for lunch.

We had a wonderful time with our family this weekend. I had found a new recipe for all of those that love chocolate. It was a hit! Yum Yum..........

Brownie Mix
1 can sweet and condensed milk 8oz
1 Lg box instant chocolate pudding
1 Hershey Chocolate bar
12oz Cool Whip
8oz Cool Whip
1 Cup Water
Make brownies according to the box directions, let cool, and then break up into small pieces
Mix sweet and condensed milk, pudding mix, 8oz cool whip, and 1 cup water
Layer brownie, pudding mixture, and plain cool whip then top with chocolate shavings
Let cool in refrigerator for a few hours then enjoy!

I have twins who are all grown up with families of their own. The story of their lives is quite unbelievable. Several years ago they surprised us by getting married just eight days apart. We couldn't convince them that they should have a double wedding. Then about two years ago they both came to us saying that they were expecting our first grandbabies and were due just one day apart. Could it happen again? Well, yes! Recently our son said that they were now expecting their second child. Then a few days later our daughter showed us what their daughter Kaelyn was wearing. The shirt said "she is going to be a Big Sister"! What?! Really?! Yes it's true. The two girls are due just three days a part. They never cease to amaze us! We are sooooo thrilled!

Jobs

With the economy in the shape it is in right now, we are seeing many families hurting. There have been great job and home loss. We feel very blessed that our family is working and continues to do so. Our son Josh is presently interviewing for several positions back here in the Midwest. Things are starting to look promising and we're very excited about what the future holds! We thank the Lord for watching over each one of us.

Camping

We took the kids out camping a few times through out the years. We usually stayed in a camper. My oldest son Josh and his family decided they would try tenting it. It sounds like they had a wonderful time. Emry our grandson enjoyed his morning donuts as Wall.E their Cocker Spaniel looked on. It was a fun time for all!

Grand daughter

Life is great!! We feel very blessed to have the wonderful family we have. I was able to take care of Kaelyn my grand daughter, last week. She is such a sweetie. She was enjoying wearing Grammy's reading glasses and playing in her car seat. She loves to sit in it as she watches Elmo on TV. Or Belbo as she calls him. She has a schedule and pretty much sticks to it. She lets you know when she's ready for meal time or sleep. It was such a fun day!
