We haven't mowed the grass yet this year but I noticed that our gas container is about empty. It is crazy that just to fill that 2 gallon plastic container will cost so much more than it used to. What can we do about the price of gas? I would like to know the answer that question.

Fun For Zoe

Now that the nice weather is here Zoe is very happy. Bill takes her around the block for her walks each night and Zoe loves it. Most of the cold months Zoe doesn't get out much. It isn't that she wouldn't like to go for walks all through the winter because she would. It is more that we don't want her to get snow covered and dirty all of the time. We are all glad it is nice outside now.

Do you like to eat oysters? I have to be honest and say that I have never tried a raw oyster. I have had oyster soup but it was never a favorite of mine. When I was younger my parents would plan a meal with friends and make oyster soup. Most of us kids didn't like it so they also made chili. Neighbors are something that you can't really choose. They just come with the territory. You might have great neighbors one day and the total opposite the next. Cell Phones

The first cell phone we had was a wedge shape and we had all of 30 minutes per month. As I recall it cost $19.95 a month and since we were so limited on minutes we didn't get much use out of it. Today we have several cell phones in the family and have over 1,000 minutes per month. It costs most than it used to but the phones are better as is the service. I wonder what the next few years will hold for cell phone technology.

Do you enjoy staying at motels? We have stayed at many over the years and I have to say that I prefer staying in my own home. We have had some negative experiences with motels in the past. There have been motels that I would rate excellent but some that must be rated very low. I don't mind paying for a good nights stay but the room better be clean. I don't care how upscale the place is, I won't go barefoot in any motel.

In today's world there are many over weight people. Even if a person is slightly over weight, they are looking for an easy fix to the problem. The offers out there are endless. Supper

Tonight we are going to have tator tot casserole for supper. I am trying to make a smaller batch since it is just for Bill and me. It is one of our favorites and so easy to make. We change the recipe at times so that we put a different vegetable in the mixture. Tonight I made it with green beans but it is also good with peas or corn. Jenna is not a fan of peas so when she is home we make it without the peas. If anyone is interested in the recipe let me know.

Trampoline

When I was younger, I remember getting to jump on a trampoline in P.E. class. We had a lot of fun. It was something that a person had to take some precautions before doing. You always needed to have people guarding around the trampoline in order to meet safety specifications. I wonder if they still have trampolines in P.E. classes today?

Masters

Josh has been busy working on his masters program and will be done next year. While we were visiting him recently he had to take time to do school work. He is doing very well in his classes and I am sure that having a graduate degree will help him with future jobs.

Smiles

We visited Josh, Diana and Emry recently. We hadn't seen them since Christmas so it was great to have time with them all. Emry has grown so much and smiles all the time. He is just about 5 months old and has a wonderful personality. I am not sure if he remembers us but it's nice to get to know him again. He is good with whoever is holding him. He is such a cutie.

Shower Faucets

We are considering redoing our bathroom very soon. We would like to have a vanity custom made for us and then look into new sink and shower faucets. The flooring could also use replacing, along with the mirror. I would like to go with a brushed silver for the faucets. I'm excited to see how it will look when it is done.

New TV

Jake bought a new television recently and he really likes it. It is similar to the one he had before but this one is bigger and has some more features. Bill helped Jake carry it up to the apartment and he said it was much heavier than the old one. The picture quality is very good. I am sure that Jake will love it.

Another Great Day

Today is another great day. Like all others, it is a day the Lord has made. We should make every effort to do what we can help others and please God. Not because it is Sunday, but because that is what we should do. Some find it easier to enjoy the day when it is sunny and warm like today but don't let the weather interfere with our purpose here on earth.

We went down to visit our youngest son this past weekend. He turned 22 on Monday so we were celebrating his birthday. He wanted to go shopping for some new furniture. Never thought he would be saying, "I want to go shopping for furniture". I guess he's all grown up.

Raking

Today Bill raked the yard. There is a guy in town that has a riding mower and can clean up a yard in about thirty minutes. We had him do our yard a couple years ago and I thought Bill was going to call him again. I guess Bill figured he wanted to do the work himself. It is a lot of work I am sure. It sure looks nice.

Emry

We get to see our grandson soon. It has been a few months since we saw him last. Josh and Di are good to send us pictures and videos and Emry has changed so much. He is such a smiley little guy. I think he is a lot like Josh in that he is quite photogenic. It will be great to see him.

Sitting Up

Jenna said that Kaelyn is sitting up on her own now. Kaelyn is 5 months old and sits very well on her own. Once in awhile she topples over but not often. She just recently figured out that she could sit up and she seems to be enjoying that very much. I know that soon she will be crawling around and then walking. They change so quickly.

Laundry
